FAQs

What is CBD?

CBD is short for cannabinoid and is one of the numerous compounds found in cannabis plants, which is the second most abundant active ingredient after tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Unlike THC however, CBD does not cause any euphoria or mind-altering effects. CBD has turned into the preeminent option for those in search of a natural alternative to treat a wide range of conditions, including PTSD, chronic pain, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy and other mental disorders.

How CBD works?

CBD supports the endocannabinoid (ECS) system which has a direct relationship with other critical bodily systems, like the immune, nervous and the digestive system. By supporting the endocannabinoid system, CBD can benefit its users in a variety of ways.

What’s the difference between Hemp and Marihuana?

Hemp is a subset of Sativa Cannabis, used to define a non-intoxicant plant harvested for the industrial use of its derivative products such as paper, rope, textiles, and biofuels.

Cannabis relates to crops cultivated for recreational purposes, so when referring to these medicines, we use this word. For our purposes, the most significant difference found between strains of Cannabis is the balance of THC, the primary psychotropic ingredient, and cannabidiol, or CBD, which has no psychotropic properties.

It’s CBD right for me?

Extensive medical research has proven that CBD has numerous natural benefits. Cannabidiol has been demonstrated to be a promising potential therapy for many illnesses & conditions such as; chronic pain, anxiety, depression, bacterial infections, acne, inflammation, epilepsy, irritable bowel syndrome, psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, nausea, substance abuse withdrawal.

When discussing CBD products, it’s essential to weigh the anticipated health benefits against the potential risk factors. If you have a respiratory or severe cardiopulmonary disease, a family history of schizophrenia or psychiatric disorders including addiction, you and your healthcare practitioner should exercise appropriate caution.

How much CBD should I use?

With our Premium CBD, we suggest to ‘start low and go slow’. It is essential to determine your initial dosage based on your body weight & the severity of the condition being treated. Carefully observe how your body responds to its initial dose. Gradually increasing the amount, one drop at a time, while monitoring the reactions of your body, it should become clear what is the ideal dose for you. Not only are we all unique, but with the various drugs, medicines & supplements that we put in our bodies, we each have a unique biological history. As a result, we will all have distinct internal chemistry which will influence how our body responds to CBD.

Does CBD interact with other medications?

CBD reduces Cytochrome p450 activity, a group of liver enzymes responsible for the breakdown of many drugs, and an array of medication. The (side) effects of certain medicines can be more prominent because the medication lasts longer in the body. This effect does not pose a significant risk with most drugs, but when combined with CBD oil, antidepressants and heavy painkillers may produce unwanted results. You can still use the oil if the correct balance exists, so please discuss this with your physician. CBD can reduce blood pressure, which could become too low if used with blood pressure medication, resulting in dizziness or weakness. It is crucial to keep a close eye on blood sugar levels when administering insulin. As far as we understand, our CBD oil will act in harmony with all nutritional supplements. If unwanted effects occur, the supplement(s) taken and the dosage of oil need to b re-examined.

Can I overdose on CBD?

Several trials have shown the non-toxic nature of cannabinoids, with no known side effects discovered. Some sensitive people might experience a feeling of anxiety when using too much, which usually goes away within a few hours. It may be an unpleasant experience, but luckily, it is only temporary. Overdosing is virtually impossible. Occasionally we have heard of people experiencing a mild headache in the first few days. Mild digestive discomfort can occur as well. These effects are probably due to specific detoxing processes, and the body re-learning the way to incorporate cannabinoids. It takes around ten days to activate the endocannabinoid system.

Can I drink alcohol while using CBD products?

We suggest exercising caution when combining cannabis products and alcohol.

Is CBD addictive?

CBD oil is in no way addictive. CBD doesn’t have any psychoactive potential, the level of THC is too low to have any such effect, but full-spectrum CBD affects several biochemical mechanisms which can produce a calming and relaxing impact on mental well-being.

Does it help me to sleep?

Some people sleep well on CBD; others don’t. It usually depends on the reason why sleeping is difficult. CBD can help relax the body and mind, & take away aches and pain so that sleeping becomes more comfortable. On the other hand, some people notice an uplifting effect, producing energy which could make falling asleep a bit more complicated. Usually, once asleep, the rest of the night is calm. Sleeping problems can often be treated very successfully using phenotype premium 2-3 hours before bedtime. The effect cannot be detected while asleep, but it can produce more vivid dreams. Full-spectrum CBD helps the body enter the kind of sleep that is regenerating, making falling, and staying asleep easier. Finding the right amount of product is essential to wake up fresh and relaxed. Starting low and going slow is key.
